We are looking for a self-driven and ambitious Business Development Associate with about 3 years’ experience, who has a passion for uncovering new business opportunities together with technology, learning and digital software, to join our growing team. Serving prestigious corporate and public organisations across Australia, New Zealand and sometimes further afield, you will be part of a professional, fun, and interdisciplinary team.

Your role will involve using your fabulous communication and networking skills, your systematic approach to contacting prospective customers and your technical and business understanding to continually fill a pipeline of customers that you will then work with our Principal Consultants to convert into contented customers.

Your Tasks

  • Seek new customer contacts using prospecting skills in both online and in-person settings
  • Execute growth strategies based on our business development plan
  • Be proactive prospecting and hunting for new business
  • Attend networking events relevant to the industry
  • Arrange meetings, using your relationship building/influencing skills and a "consultative selling approach"
  • Manage sales activities concentrating on our high quality and innovative learning solutions, as well as reporting on and prioritising sales activities accordingly
  • Prepare proposals, pitches, capability presentations incl. developing materials to grab attention during the sales phase
  • Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
  • Following industry trends locally and internationally
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts
  • Maintain and utilise our CRM to manage all activity including reporting on successes and areas needing improvements
  • Build in-depth knowledge of IMC solutions and contribute to the sales strategy

Your Strengths

  • Ability to work with sophisticated products (preferably SaaS) and effectively demonstrate solutions with energy and passion
  • Proven ability to negotiate with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with implementation of business development strategy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you can work with a wide variety of people and to collaborate with geographically distributed teams
  • Your role will involve using your excellent personal communication skills
  • You will display a systematic approach to contacting prospective customers and your technical and business understanding will enable you to work together with our technical implementation consultants
  • Scrupulous attention to detail, both in terms of content and presentation
  • Affinity with software such as LMS, HR Software, e-learning, digital content, knowledge management etc. would be highly beneficial
  • Willingness to travel interstate and possibly internationally
  • Experience in responding to public and private tenders is desirable
